Ravens survive late Polytech charge

GEORGETOWN, Del. – Sussex Tech survived a late charge from Polytech to win, 42-39, Friday night.

The Ravens began to pull away in the second quarter, as Kevin Custis dropped two 3-pointers in the quarter.

Sussex Tech continued to pull away in the third quarter, eventually taking a 12-point lead into the fourth.

Tech struggled at the free throw line in the final period, shooting 3-for-8 from the line, allowing the Panthers to make a late run.

Polytech got off one final 3-pointer as time expired, but the shot fell short.

Skylar Johnson led Sussex Tech with 9 points, Christian Cote led Polytech with 13.
