New Frankford police chief shares goals for department

FRANKFORD, Del. – Just months ago, the town of Frankford got their new police chief and they say they are already seeing new changes that help support residents.

Frankford Police Chief Laurence Corrigan says since starting his new position he is already working on several projects after the town went two years without its own police department.

Corrigan tells 47ABC he is working on having Narcan readily available in his police cars.

He is also planning on working with local churches to help them prepare for a potential active-shooter situation and we are told these new additions are only the beginning for the police department.

“This is our success as a town and a community and I’m very grateful that I’ve had the opportunity to do this service, and I quite frankly think that we’re an outstanding agency and there’s very good things to come,” said Frankford Police Chief Laurence Corrigan.

Chief Corrigan tells 47 ABC he has also laid out new parameters with the Indian River School District that he will follow when investigating incidents at the schools.
