Maria Davis named October’s Teacher Who Makes a Difference

SALISBURY, Md. – Congratulations are in order for our latest Teacher Who Makes a Difference, Maria Davis from Parkside High School!

Miss Davis has been working at Parkside High School for 17 years after actually being a student there.

She’s now a special education teacher at the school, and says she feels fulfilled every single day when she comes to school and gets to work with students there.

For her, being a special education teacher is personal.

“I wanted to be a special ed teacher from as long as I can remember, I have a family member that has CP, so I’ve enjoyed being around them at a young age and helping them,” she said.
