Mardela shocks Decatur for first conference win

BERLIN, Md- The Mardela boys basketball team picked up their first Bayside win of the season, defeating Stephen Decatur 62-55 on Friday night in Berlin.

The Warriors led the entire first half, and ran into the locker room with a 30-26 lead. Decatur would grab their first lead of the game with a 9-3 run out of halftime, only for Mardela to take a 46-42 lead into the fourth quarter.

In the fourth quarter Decatur would again challenge, cutting the Warriors lead to 56-55 with less than 1:30 remaining in the game. Mardela would close the game out on a 6-0 run from the free throw line to take their first conference contest of the season.
