Kick off Black History Month with the “11th Annual Black History Month Celebration”

CAMBRIDGE, Md. — The 11th Annual Black History Month Celebration is back in Cambridge. Dr. Larry White, Sr., chairman of VIPeVENTS Concierge, has assembled a plethora of professional speakers and VIP guests from around the country.

47 ABC’s Erica Murphy was joined on the desk by Sylvia Koonce and Dion Banks, who were both here to tell us more about the grand celebration. The theme this year is “The Legacy & Heritage of African-American History Past, Present, & Future.

This one-day event is designed to encourage, empower, and equip emerging entrepreneurs, small business owners, professionals and community leaders in efforts to come together network and have casual conversations to share resources, contacts, and strategies that help support each other’s career and business goals.

Koonce,”   who is the event’s keynote speaker, tells us that she will be speaking on empowering the community and bridging the gap and gathering of all people.

Banks, who is one of the MVP speaker’s, says their non-profit organization’s  focus is education, representation, and  revitalization, which ties in to the message of the VIPeVents concierge team.

The grand celebration kicks off Black History Month on Saturday, February 1st from 12 PM to 3 PM. It takes place at the historic IBPOEW Elks Lodge on 618 Pine Street, in Cambridge, Maryland.
