KI takes home the 2020 Track and Field Bayside championship to make it three in a row
SNOW HILL, Md.- with a total of 200.5 total points, the Kent Island Track and Field team took home the 2020 Bayside Championship. Coming in second, the North Caroline Bulldogs put up a total score of 159.5. The Bennett Clipper rounded out the top three with 156.5 total points. This is the Buccaneers third straight first place finish in the Bayside championship.

There were some big moments in this years Bayside Championship. For the girls, it was a big day for North Caroline Junior Sam Cash. Cash took home first in all four of her events, the girls 55 meter hurdle, the high jump, the 500 meter dash, and the 300 meter dash.
For the boys, Kent Island’s Isaiah Schulties set a Bayside record in the boys 500 meter dash with a time of 1:07:87, the old record held by Kent Island’s Casey Lyons was 1:08:60 in 2007. In the boys 55 meter hurdles, the final heat featured two of the Bayside best in the hurdles. Crisfield’s Kyle Noll, a 2019 1A state champion and Easton Blake Walton, a 2019 2A state champion. In the end, Noll came out on top with a first place time of 7:81, beating Walton by just over a tenth of a second (7:94)
