Harrington Police arrest family of three for theft

HARRINGTON, Del. – A family of three were arrested on Tuesday on theft and other related charges.

On Monday, officers with the Harrington Police Department were called to the Royal Farms on Milford-Harrington Highway for a reported theft of a cell phone. Investigation revealed that the victim was inside of the store when she left her phone in the store and then left. When she returned, she reportedly could not find her phone, and after checking her accounts learned that the unknown suspects used her debit card at the Wawa on Route 10 in Dover on two separate occasions. The victim’s cards were with the phone when it was stolen.

Police obtained surveillance footage from the Harrington Royal Farms as well as the Dover Wawa, which were later posted on the Harrington Police Department Facebook page. The suspects were then identified as 61-year-old Aaron Bush, 47-year-old Paula Green, and 19-year-old Brandon Bush, all of Harrington. Warrants were subsequently obtained for all three suspects.

Police then reportedly received a tip that the suspects were staying at the Super 8 Hotel in Harrington. All three suspects were taken into custody and charged with third degree conspiracy, theft under $1,500, and two counts of unauthorized use of a payment card under $1,500. Each suspect was issued a $3,000 unsecured bond and released.
