Frederica home invasion under investigation

FREDERICA, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that happened early Wednesday morning in Frederica.

Shortly after 1 a.m., troopers were called to a a residence in the 100 block of Maple Drive for a reported home invasion. A 41-year-old female residence reported that three unknown suspects armed with long guns kicked in her front door. One suspect held the female and her 42-year-old boyfriend at gunpoint and took their phones to prevent them from calling 911, while the other suspects ransacked the residence in search of money.

All three suspects eventually fled without any property, leaving the phones behind. The victims were not injured.

Two of the suspects were described as thin males, approximately 5’10” to 6’0″ tall, wearing dark clothing and a mask over their faces. The third suspect was described as a stockier male who was shorter than the other two suspects, wearing dark clothing and a mask.
