Eyewitness: Child causes car crash in Princess Anne

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – Authorities are gathering more information about a multi-vehicle accident that allegedly happened because a child was behind the wheel of a car in Princess Anne.

Princess Anne Police Chief Timothy Bozman tells 47 ABC the accident, involving five or six cars, happened on Route 13 near Hardee’s around 3:30 p.m. Police could not confirm any other details at the time. However, an eyewitness tells 47 ABC that a child was driving the dark colored Ford SUV.

Kirk Taylor, an eyewitness, says the child caused an accident and then fled the scene before getting on the highway. Eventually, police were able to stop the vehicle and that’s when they found out a child was driving the car.

Luckily, police say those involved only had minor injuries.

Police tell 47 ABC they plan to release more details and this article will be updated when that happens.
