Easton Police investigating attempted armed robbery
EASTON, Md. – Easton Police are investigating an attempted armed robbery that happened at a gas station early Tuesday morning.
Police say they responded to the Crown Gas Station in the 300 block of N Washington Street shortly after 4 a.m. It was learned that a male subject wearing a dark colored hoodie, mask, and gloves walked into the store and pulled out a handgun, demanding money. The victim then reportedly confronted the suspect, chasing the suspect out of the store.
The suspect did not obtain any merchandise or money from the store.
According to police, based on the suspect’s clothing, it is believed that the suspect is possibly the same one involved in a burglary at the Crown Gas Station on Marlboro Road that happened roughly one hour prior. Police believe the suspect took off the jacket he work in the burglary to change his appearance.
