Drug investigation results in three arrests

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police arrested three people on Tuesday following an investigation into illegal drug sales.

We’re told officers were conducting an investigation into a home in the 100 block of Revolutionary Boulevard at around 3 p.m. During surveillance, 32-year-old Shawn Wright was seen leaving the residence and discarding 29.2 grams of marijuana from his vehicle, leading to a traffic stop. He was subsequently taken into custody after it was discovered that he was also in possession of 5 grams of crack cocaine.

During the stop, 25-year-old Aaron Wilson was also seen leaving the residence and placing several bags inside a vehicle parked in front of the home. He and 21-year-old Candice Williams were then taken into custody, and a search warrant was obtained for the home and vehicle. Officers seized 20 grams of marijuana, digital scales, packaging material, and $1,343 in drug money from the home, and an additional 419.3 grams of marijuana and a handgun from the vehicle.

Wright was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, two counts of possession with intent to deliver marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession with intent to deliver crack cocaine, possession of crack cocaine, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, second degree conspiracy, and drug paraphernalia. He was committed to SCI on a $45,500 secured bond.

Wilson and Williams were each charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, second degree conspiracy, and drug paraphernalia. Both were later released on a $5,500 unsecured bond.
