Celebration of life for 9/11 first responder

SELBYVILLE, DE – A celebration of life will be held tonight at Crab Cake Factory Bayside for a 9/11 first responder who recently passed away from cancer related to the terrorist attack.

Ryan Fortini was a New York State Trooper who responded to the World Trade Center the morning of September 11, 2001 when the two towers were struck by planes hijacked by terrorists. During his heroic efforts and subsequent clean-up Fortini developed cancer at the site.

The hero unfortunately passed this past New Year’s Day from the disease.

Crabcake Factory Bayside, located at 37314 Lighthouse Rd, Selbyville, Delaware 19975, is hosting the celebration of life tonight from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. The celebration is open to the public and in addition to Delaware State Troopers — New York State Troopers will also be in attendance.
