Williams’ 27 carries Snow Hill to second half comeback

RIDGELY, Md. – Snow Hill overcame a 12-point fourth quarter deficit, on their way to a 59-58 win at North Caroline Friday night.

The Eagles controlled a slight advantage for most of the first half, taking a two-point lead into the locker room at halftime.

North Caroline responded with a 10-0 run to start the third quarter. A balanced Bulldog attack, with scoring from five players in the period, led to a twelve-point lead entering the fourth.

The Eagle defense clamped down in the fourth, giving up just six points. But Snow Hill found themselves down one point with under ten seconds left.

Shi’Quan Williams banked in a five-footer, then prevented an inbound pass by North Caroline before time expired.

Williams scored eight points in the fourth, while making both free throw attempts, bringing his total for the game to 27.
