WiHi holds off surprising Eagles in season opener

HURLOCK, Md. – Wicomico High School took a strong lead early on and held on for an 88-81 victory in the first game at the new North Dorchester High School Thursday night.

North Dorchester stayed with the Indians early on, but WiHi raced to a 23-11 lead at the end of the first quarter.

WiHi (1-0) will play Parkside at home Tuesday, North Dorchester (0-1) travels to Easton looking for their first win Tuesday.
