Two injured in early morning shooting in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Dover Police are investigating a shooting incident that left two people injured early Monday morning.

According to police, the incident happened at around 2:45 a.m., in the 100 block of S. New Street. A 19-year-old male and 30-year-old male were walking in the area at that time when they were approached by 5-6 unknown male suspects. The subjects fired multiple shots at the victims, hitting each victim in the legs, before fleeing on foot towards S. Queen Street.

Both victims were treated for their injuries at Kent General Hospital.
