Police investigating violent home invasion in Dover

DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a home invasion that happened late Saturday night in Dover.

Police say just before midnight, a 25-year-old man heard someone knocking on his door on Kentwood Drive.

The man told police he thought it was his roommate, but when he opened the door, two men with guns forced their way into the home and demanded cash.

That victim says one man forced him to the ground and assaulted him while the other man searched the home.

After stealing things from the home as well as cash, both suspects fled.
