Perdue, Salvation Army donate toys to families in need
SALISBURY, Md. – The Christmas spirit was alive and well on Wednesday in Salisbury, as Perdue and the Salvation Army teamed up to make sure every kid has presents under the tree on Christmas morning.
The two organizations have teamed up for decades to bring presents to children, and this year was no different.
The Salvation Army was at Perdue Wednesday morning to pick up hundreds of gifts, including bikes, dolls, baby toys, and so much more.
Representatives from the Salvation Army tell 47 ABC that a lot of families fall on hard times this time of year, so being able to help them and see the joy on kid’s faces is priceless.
“To see them when they come to receive their gifts, and to see their faces and to know that we’re able to provide assistance with the assistance of folks like Perdue is just a wonderful feeling this time of year,” Cristina Trantham, Core officer at the Salvation Army, said.
The Salvation Army tells 47 ABC they are still looking for sponsors for some children and for donations. If you’re interested in getting involved,
you can stop by the Salvation Army.
