New Dunkin’ brings high hopes for Princess Anne

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – On Monday, Dunkin’ celebrated the grand opening of their new location in Princess Anne, and town leaders couldn’t be more thrilled.

According to town leaders, the new Dunkin’ on Route 13 will draw in customers from the major highway.

They say big restaurant chains could attract people to their Main Street and possibly inspire them to invest in the town later on.

The President of the Town Commission Garland Hayward says there are not enough area fast food chains that could help the town economically.

He adds these changes are critical to their push for revitalization.

“We’re hoping as the major chains decide to come to Princess Anne, other businesses will follow,” said Hayward.

The president of the town commission tells us there are more plans for mixed-use development near the Food Lion shopping center.
