Milford man arrested on home improvement fraud charges

HARRINGTON, Del. – Harrington Police arrested a Milford man late last week following an investigation into reported home improvement fraud.

Police say they were contacted by the victim on November 23rd, who reported that in September of this year, 32-year-old Vincent Denney was contacted to do repair work at their residence on Clark Street. The victim reportedly paid Denney to complete the work, but after receiving the money, Denney did minimal work and did not complete the entire project. It was also reported that the victim contacted Denney several times to come finish the work, but he failed to do so.

A warrant was obtained for Denney, he turned himself into the Harrington Police Department on Friday. He was charged with home improvement fraud over $1,500 and theft by false pretense over $1,500. He was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
