Humane Society of Wicomico County hosts Christmas Open House

SALISBURY, Md. – In Salisbury, people from across the shore came out to support furry friends at the Humane Society of Wicomico County’s Christmas Open House.

The annual event is a chance for people to celebrate the animal shelter and its positive impact on the community.

People also got holiday pictures done with their fur babies, for a ten dollar donation.

Organizers say the Open House is also an opportunity to find volunteers who will donate their time at the shelter and give these four-legged a little extra love.

“We rely on the public greatly to come out and support us,” said Humane Society of Wicomico County Executive Director, Kimberly Nock.

“Being a nonprofit, we rely on their donations, we rely on their physical help, so that just makes our shelter a better place for our animals,” said Nock.

We are told the Humane Society of Wicomico County will be hosting several fundraising events in the coming months.
