Fruitland man sentenced on drug charges

FRUITLAND, Md. – A Fruitland man was sentenced on Friday after he was convicted of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, manufacturing cocaine, keeping a common nuisance, and other related drug charges back in October.

The charges stem from a search and seizure warrant executed on 21-year-old Keone Davis’ residence on May 8, 2019. During the search, officials found an amount of cocaine, as well as paraphernalia and other evidence related to the manufacturing of cocaine for sale and distribution. Davis also reportedly admitted to having manufactured and sold cocaine the day prior.

At the time of the offense, Davis was on supervised probation for two separate 2017 convictions for possession with intent to distribute heroin and illegal possession of a regulated firearm.

Davis was sentenced to a total of 20 years behind bars.
