Easton Police investigating armed robbery and carjacking

EASTON, Md. – Easton Police are working to identify and locate a man following a reported armed robbery and carjacking that happened early Sunday morning.

According to police, the incident happened at around 12:30 a.m., in the area of West Street and Blake Street. The victim reported that a male subject pointed a handgun at his head and demanded money. The victim reportedly denied the subject of money and backed away from the vehicle, at which point the subject got into the car and drove away down Blake Street toward Pleasant Alley.

At around 1:45 a.m. the same morning, officers found the stolen vehicle at the Parkway Apartments on Jowite Street, in the area of the 600 building. Police spoke with several residents in the complex, but were unable to obtain any further suspect information.

The victim described the suspect as a male, approximately 5’11”, thin build, and wearing a mask. Police are asking anyone who may have information on this incident to contact Detective Megan Coxon at 410-822-1111.
