Dorchester Co. students helping to make Cambridge safer

CAMBRIDGE, Md. – Students in the Dorchester Career and Technology Center are working to make the city of Cambridge safe, one sidewalk at a time.

Students in the program are teaming up with city officials to make sidewalks compliant with the Americans Disability Act. They are learning how to use an app that allows them to take pictures of sidewalks and upload them to a map that city planners can gather data from. Once they finish training, they will meet with city employees and go out to find these sidewalks, as well as upload data into the app.
