Dionte Dutton sentenced in 2017 murder

SALISBURY, Md. – A Salisbury man convicted of murdering Jaquanta Walton in June 2017 learned his fate in court on Thursday.

36-year-old Dionte Dutton was sentenced to a total of 83 years behind bars for his conviction of one count each of second degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree assault, use of a firearm in the commission of a crime of violence, illegal possession of a regulated firearm, and transporting a firearm in a vehicle.

Dutton was convicted on October 7, following a five day jury trial. The judge sentenced Dutton to the maximum sentenced allowed by law.
