Del. man arrested on drug charges

HARRINGTON, Del. – A Milford man was arrested on multiple drug charges Sunday evening.

We’re told that just before 9 p.m., officers received a tip that several subjects were dumping items into a dumpster at the Midway Shopping Center. When officers arrived, they made contact with 23-year-old Brian Holben and three other subjects on scene. Officers asked the subjects for identification, but they could not provide any and were subsequently detained.

A K-9 scan of vehicle alerted officers to the presence of narcotics, and a search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of .24 grams of marijuana, 10.02 grams of methamphetamine, and several Xanax pills, along with drug paraphernalia.

After learning the items belonged to Holben, the other three subjects were released without being charged.

Holben was charged with two counts of manufactures, delivers, or possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 2 quantity, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and driving with a revoked or suspended license. He was later released on personal recognizance pending a future court appearance.
