Crisfield starts the season 1-0 with huge Peake Tipoff win over Colonel

WYE MILLS, Md.- Under new Co-Head Coach Andrea Collins, the Crisfield Crabbers will start the season 1-0 with the big 62-40 win over Colonel Richardson. The loss drops CR to 0-1 for the first time since 2016.

Both teams started slow, exchanging turnovers in the first few minutes but with five minutes to play in the first the Crabbers would get hot. Crisfield went on a 14-5 run to end the first quarter. In the second, Colonel started to cut into the lead behind seven second quarter points from Diante Dickerson. At the break, the Crabber lead was cut to just four.

In the third quarter, Cr kept it close staying within six to end the quarter. To open the fourth quarter, Crisfield went on a 21-5 run behind nine points from Rykell Waters to defeat Colonel 62-40.

The Crabbers will look to move to 2-0 when they travel to Cambridge to take on the Vikings next Tuesday. CR returns to action when they take the trip to St. Michaels also on Tuesday.
