Crisfield hands Pocomoke their first loss in home opener

CRISFIELD, Md.- Coming off a three point loss to Cambridge, the Crisfield Crabbers dropped 88 points on Pocomoke to move to 2-1 on the year. Christian Waters led all scorers with 26 points in the win. The loss drops Pocomoke to 2-1.

It was all Crisfield early, just for minutes into the game they led 15-8 behind two Rykell Waters 3’s and another from Christian Waters. At the end of the first quarter, Crisfield led 22-12. The second quarter was much of the same story. The Crabbers extended their lead to 28, 52-24. Christian Waters led all scorers with 15 points, Josh Fontaine was 3/3 from behind the arc. For Pocomoke, Nigel Houston, Brandon Snowden and Charles Finney each had 6 points.

In the second half, not much would change. The Crabbers kept up their momentum and led by at least 29 the entire second half to hand Pocomoke their first loss of the season in a big way, 88-54.

Crisfield returns to action tomorrow night when they travel to take on Mardela. Pocomoke looks to get back in the win column when they host North Dorchester next Tuesday.
