BVSPCA waives fees on large dogs

GEORGETOWN, Del. – If you’re looking for an addition to your family before the holidays, look no further than the Brandywine Valley SPCA.

The shelter has waived fees on all large dogs around 40 pounds and up until the end of the year.

The special is called Gabriel and Emma’s gift and is sponsored by a donor who wants to cover all of those adoption fees to honor their late dog.

The shelter tells 47 ABC this is the perfect time to make your home even fuller with dogs that are often overlooked at the shelter.

“It’s just way to get them some more attention, get some people in the door and get some eyes on these great guys and hopefully have them curled up in front of the fireplace and not in the shelter for the holidays,” Chris Farrall, Senior Operations Manager at the SPCA, said.

The shelter says anyone that’s interested in meeting any of those adoptable pups can stop by the shelter at their Georgetown campus any time during normal business hours.
