Armed robbery investigation underway in Millsboro

MILLSBORO, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating an armed robbery that happened in Millsboro Tuesday night.

At around 10 p.m., troopers were called to a residence in the 31000 block of Karen Street for a reported robbery. On arrival, a 59-year-old male resident told police that he was approached by an unknown suspect while he was outside in the front yard. The suspect reportedly pulled out a handgun and hit the victim with it, knocking the victim to the ground. He then demanded the victim empty his pockets and stole his wallet, cell phone, and keys, and fled the scene. Police say the victim’s bank card was used at the Seaford Exxon a short time later.

The victim was not injured in the incident. The suspect was described as a male in his late 20s, approximately 5’8″, 175 pounds, with a full beard, and wearing dark clothing.
