Annual Multicultural Night brings communities together

SEAFORD, Del. – Thousands of people from across Sussex County are gearing up for the Second Annual Multicultural Night at Seaford Senior High School.
The free event will take place this Friday. Doors open at 5:30 at night.
Organizers say this annual event is a chance for people of all backgrounds to come together and celebrate the county’s diversity.
Kids of all ages will also get free toys as part of the school’s celebration for Three Kings Day.
There will also be performances by students at the event, as well as all sorts of delicious food.
On top of that, local organizations like La Esperanza and La Red will be present, to provide families with resources related to immigration, health care and more.
“We as a community of a school, which is a big part of this city, gets to give back and show that, look, it doesn’t matter what color you are, what gender you are, no matter who you are, you come in here, you’re in a safe place and we’re going to take care of you because this is a nest and we are family,” said Jason Cameron, principal at Seaford Senior High School.
Seaford High School will continue to accept monetary donations for toys on Thursday at their front office.
Organizers say this event would not be possible without the help of students at the high school, as well as local organizations and Spanish radio station.
