Fruitland boy sworn in as new police chief

FRUITLAND, Md. – A special ceremony was held in Fruitland on Friday.

The Fruitland Police Department swore in Frank Kirwan as their brand new Chief of Police. Chief Kirwan took the oat and immediately got to work in his new custom police officer. He also conducted a patrol check and even paraded around town in the Fruitland Fire Department’s newest vehicle.
