Wicomico Public Library celebrating 150 years

SALISBURY, Md.- The Wicomico Public Library has been operating for a century and a half and they are making sure to celebrate. They are throwing their 150th anniversary bash next Thursday at the library.

If you want to go,  you can get access to some jazz, food, a cash bar, and a silent auction.

The library told 47ABC that they look forward to the event and the future of their facility.

“I mean it’s pretty amazing for us and for the community, I mean we’ve been around since 1869, we were founded two years after the county, so it kinda shows how important the library is to the community,” Sam Gibson, Marketing and Communications Manager of Wicomico Public Library, said.

The Wicomico Public Library is selling tickets on their website for the event until Saturday, but you can still buy tickets at the door the day of.

Tickets are $20 for members and $35 for non-members.

You can also look forward to the fall book sale that will happen from next Friday until Sunday.
