Wicomico County Council appoints Internal Auditor

SALISBURY, Md. – The Wicomico County Council has unanimously appointed a new Internal Auditor.

County Council President announced on Tuesday that Levin Hitchens III will replace Steve Roser, who will be retiring in early January. Hitchens is a Wicomico County resident who graduated from Wilmington University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance in 2013. Hitchens began working with the County in November 2017 as the Assistant Internal Auditor, and recently received the title as a Certified Internal Auditor.

Before working with the county, he worked as Finance Director for Maryland Capital Enterprises, Inc.

Hitchens will work with Roser to ensure that the transition is as smooth and effective as possible.
