Two Lincoln men arrested for drug & gun charges

LINCOLN, Del. — Delaware State Police have arrested two men multiple charges following a traffic violation stop Friday afternoon.

Police say 25-year-old Chad Roundtree, and 19-year-old Jefferson A. Ramirez-Rodriguez, were stopped after their car appeared to have unauthorized tinted windows in the area of Johnson Road and Dupont Boulevard.

State Police then say they could smell marijuana upon approaching the driver and passengers’ car. They also say they could allegedly see, Rodriguez attempting to hide illegal items under his seat.

With a search, police were able to find that the 25-year-old had a warrant out for his arrest for failure to pay out of the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas. He was arrested immediately.

Police then searched 19-year-old Rodriguez.

They found more than $150 of drug money, drug paraphernalia, a ski mask and a loaded gun. The teen was also arrested as well.

Both men were arrested for possession of a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance, conspiracy of the 2nd degree, and possession of drug paraphernalia not related to personal use marijuana.

Both were processed and arraigned before Justice of the Peace Court and are being held at SCI on a $21,500.00 secured bond.
