Two arrested after fight, threatening people with a gun
MILLSBORO, Del. – Two men are facing charges after police say they got into a fight and one of them pulled a gun out on several people, early Friday morning.
Police say the incident happened at 3:35 a.m. in the 24000 block of Shoreline Drive. There was reportedly a “small gathering” at the house when Andrew Mudry started screaming at people and assaulted two victims. According to officials the 22-year-old’s friend, Ja’Charis Owens, pulled a gun out and threatened to kill the victims. Mudry and Owens apparently got into another fight with two other victims, ages 19 and 16, and threatened them with the gun as well. The two left the house and no one was hurt.
Ja’Charis Owens was arrested at the Dover Air Force Base without incident. Owens was taken to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following:
- Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony
- Aggravated menacing (4 counts)
- Conspiracy second degree
- Terroristic threatening
- Offensive touching (2 counts)
Andrew Mudry was taken into custody by Probation and Parole and brought to Troop 4 where he was charged with the following:
- Conspiracy second degree (felony)
- Terroristic threatening
- Offensive touching (4 counts)
Owens was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on a $35,000.00 secured bond. Mudry was arraigned before the Justice of the Peace Court and received a $3400.00 unsecured bond. He was brought to Probation and Parole and committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on an administrative warrant.
