Three arrested on burglary charges in Kent Co.
KENT CO., Del. – Delaware State Police arrested three suspects Monday night on burglary and other related charges.
At around 10:40 p.m., troopers were called to a residence in the 700 block of New Wharf Road in Milford for a reported burglary. On arrival, it was learned that the suspect(s) forced entry into the residence and a detached garage, stealing numerous items including three firearms before fleeing the scene.
Approximately 15 minutes later, troopers were called to the 2400 block of Bowers Beach Road in Frederica for a suspicious person complaint. On arrival, it was learned that the suspect(s) tried to enter the residence by throwing a cinder block at a door. Three subjects were located nearby, parked in a cornfield, and were identified as 29-year-old Marvin Poore and two juveniles, a 15-year-old male and 14-year-old female. Troopers found stolen property from the New Wharf Road residence inside the vehicle and all three were taken into custody.
It was also learned that Poore was involved in another burglary that happened on September 3rd, at a home under construction in the 100 block of Willow Drive in Frederica.
Poore was charged with three counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, burglary second degree, attempt to commit burglary second degree, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, two counts of burglary third degree, three counts of theft of a firearm, felony theft, theft, two counts of conspiracy second degree, and two counts of criminal mischief. He is currently being held at SCI on $54,250 secured bond.
The teens were also charged and released on their own recognizance.
