Sussex County community celebrates Veterans Day at Rehoboth Bandstand

REHOBOTH BEACH, Del. – Veterans Day ceremonies took place all across Delmarva Monday. In Delaware, dozens of people gathered to honor and remember those who fought for our country in Rehoboth Beach on Monday morning. Veterans who fought in World War II, Vietnam, and more were all in attendance.
Officials say this annual event is just another way to say thank you for all who’ve served, and to never forget the sacrifices these men and women made.

“We have such a tremendous amount of veterans who do a great job on the volunteer service side and do so much beautiful work here in our area. Today is such an important day to honor them and their families for their tremendous work that they’ve done on behalf of all of us that we can be here today and enjoy the freedoms that our founders wanted us to have,” said Senator Ernie Lopez (R-SD6).

Monday’s ceremony was held and sponsored by Rehoboth Beach’s VFW Post #7447.
