Paint Your Own Pet Bowl event helps save rabbits

SALISBURY, Md. – People who like to paint got the chance to hang out with rabbits in Salisbury on Sunday and it is was all for a good cause.

The event called Paint Your Own Pet Bowl Fundraiser took place at the RowdyGal Mudhud.

People got the chance to paint while cuddling cute adoptable rabbits.

Organizers say there is a huge need across the shore for rabbits to find a loving new home.

Money collected during the event will go towards the nonprofit Eastern Shore Rabbit Rescue and Education Center.

Organizers add it is these sort of events that can make a huge positive impact on the community.

“This nonprofit is very, very important, and it also brings our community together and it gets hands in,” said Constance Melvin, owner of RowdyGall Mudhud.

“We have bowls for dogs, for cats, bunny hair galore, so it’s very important that we support this nonprofit,” said Melvin.

Organizers say they hope more people will join in on their festivities that help rabbits and other furry friends find a home.
