Milton man arrested on drug charges following traffic stop
LEWES, Del. – Delaware State Police arrested a Milton man following a traffic stop Wednesday evening.
At around 8:35 p.m., a trooper stopped a vehicle on Beaver Dam Road in Lewes after the driver did not signal a lane change and failed to stay within a single lane. On contact with the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, 51-year-old Harry Johnson Jr., an odor of marijuana was detected coming from within the vehicle.
A subsequent search of the vehicle led to the recovery of the following:
- Approx. 0.14 grams of heroin
- 83 Amphetamine pills
- 4 Buprenorphine pills
- Approx. 23 grams of marijuana
- Approx. 6.6 grams of hashish
- Approx. 0.8 grams of methamphetamine
- Drug paraphernalia
Johnson was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of drugs, failure to have insurance identification in possession, failure to remain in a single lane, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance in a tier 4 quantity, and five counts of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance with aggravated factor.
He is currently being held at SCI on $80,626 secured bond.
