Man Sentenced to 12 Years for Sexual Abuse of A Minor

PRINCESS ANNE, Md. – A Somerset County man has been sentenced to 12 years of incarceration after being found guilty of crimes committed in 2016.

Cornelius Brennecke, 44, was sentenced on November 4, 2019. He was convicted on September 10, 2019 of sex abuse of a minor.

Back in 2016, an investigation led officials to believe Brennecke engaged in sexual acts with a 15-year-old victim who lived with him.

Organizations involved were the Princess Anne Police Department, Maryland State Police, and Somerset County Child Advocacy Center.
