Maggie’s Coat Drive helps local families in need

FRANKFORD, Del. – With cooler temperatures, one Sussex County girl is pushing to keep everyone warm, but she needs your help.
11-year-old Maggie Bare recently kicked off her third annual coat drive.
She’s partnered with the Milton Police Department, Selbyville Middle School, Frankford Town Hall and other groups to help with her mission.
Last year, Maggie collected more than 300 coats and she’s hoping you’ll help her beat her record for this season.
The coats will go to organizations like Code Purple Sussex County.
Maggie tells us, she simply loves to give back to her community.
“It gives me a great feeling inside because, it’s just that everybody will make me happy and it makes them happy, so seeing their faces when they receive the coats it just makes me love everything I do,” said Bare.
Bare said her coat drive will run until December 20th.
Drop off bins are located at the Milton Police Department, Selbyville Middle School, Frankford Town Hall, Coldwell Banker in Ocean View and Next Step Learning Center in Selbyville.
