Ice skating rink returns to ampitheater

SALISBURY, Md. – Get your skates ready! The ice skating rink at the Ampitheater in Salisbury opens back up this weekend, and city officials are inviting you to come out.

This is the second year the rink has been placed at the ampitheater, but this year there’s a twist: the rink is inside of a climate controlled tent.

The rink opens up on Friday and will then be open every Thursday through Sunday until Christmas.

Mayor Jake Day says the rink is just one more example of all the things Salisbury has to offer.

“Having things like, options like ice skating on the Riverwalk, is just a nice option to be added into the cultural experience of living in Salisbury, and visiting Salisbury, too, we encourage folks from around the region to visit us and come say hi throughout the year,” Mayor Day said.

It costs five dollars per person to rent skates at the rink, but it’s free if you bring your own skates.
