HALO gives free meal on Thanksgiving
SALISBURY, Md. – While many of us spend Thanksgiving or other holidays with our families, some people don’t always have a place to go. But one organization in Salisbury made sure to have their doors open and their plates ready on Thursday.
HALO welcomed anyone and everyone to come enjoy a big Thanksgiving meal, of course with turkey, potatoes, and green bean casserole.
The organization says they’re happy to be able to serve meals to those in need, but that they would never be able to do this without the community.
“It is just our way of being able to give back to the community what the community has given to us, and of course in the spirit, the true spirit, of Thanksgiving,” Raita Wise, Cafe Manager, said.
HALO tells 47 ABC they want to thank every volunteer and every person who donated for making this dinner for the needy possible.
