Fire officials investigating Talbot Co. home fire

WHITTMAN, Md. – Maryland Fire Marshals are investigating a house fire that broke out in Talbot County during the morning hours on Saturday.

Officials say the blaze was reported at around 8:45 a.m., at a home located at 8622 Sewell Point Road. The two alarm fire took firefighters approximately 90 minutes to control.

The cause of the fire has been deemed accidental and the result of a mechanical failure in the mechanical room. Fire damage has been estimated at $150,000.
