Fatal Industrial Accident; Man dead

LAUREL, Del.- In Laurel, Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal industrial accident that happened yesterday around 4 p.m., leaving one man dead.

Authorities said 30-year-old, Bryan Dukes of Easton, MD, was taken to the hospital after being struck by electricity.

Officials responded to 31000 block of Jestice Farm Rd. where they learned Dukes was driving a dump truck when he hit a power line, while unloading cargo, and that power line caught on fire and fell to the ground.

Dukes attempted to get out of the truck, but when he touched it he was struck by electricity.

He was later taken to the Nanticoke Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
