Delaware State Police investigating Dover liquor store robbery
DOVER, Del. – Delaware State Police are investigating a reported armed robbery at a Dover liquor store.
It was reported that around 7 p.m. Tuesday, troopers were called to the Route 8 Liquor store on Forrest Avenue in Dover. On arrival, troopers learned that a 59-year-old store clerk was approached by an unknown suspect who immediately began physically assaulting him. The suspect then pulled out a knife and demanded money. The suspect took an unknown amount of money as well as a telephone before fleeing.
The employee reportedly declined medical treatment.
The suspect was described as a male, wearing a dark colored sweatshirt, dark pants, a face mask, sunglasses, and armed with a knife.
