Crisfield soccer falls to Mountain Ridge in the 1A state semifinals
PASADENA, Md.- The Crisfield Crabber fell to Mountain Ridge in the Class 1A Boys Soccer State Semifianals 3-0. The Crabbers finish the season with a record of 8-3-1.
Crisfield had a few chances in the box early, Jakhi Maddox and Rykell Waters with a few break aways but Miner goalie Eathean Ashenfelter came to play. Three early saves would keep it scoreless through the first ten minutes. Midway through the half, Mount Ridge would earn back to back corners but Crabbers keeper Simon Evans was there to stop the first and he’d get a little help from his defense on the next to clear it.
The Miner offensive pressure would continue in the final fifteen minutes of the half. Two first half goals from the Ridge, including a tap in from Logan Kiddy, assisted by Brady Weimer to make it a 2-0 Miner lead at the half.
In the second half, Mount Ridge would tack on another goal, a rocket from Jacob Ritchie from twenty yards out to put this one just out of reach. The Crabbers fall in the Class 1A State Semifinals 3-0.
