Code Purple looking for shelter volunteers

SEAFORD, Del. – Temperatures are continuing to get colder and colder, and that means organizations that help the homeless on Delmarva are searching for extra help.

Code Purple will be hosting several training sessions for volunteers throughout the rest of the month and in the beginning of December.

The organization gives homeless people a warm bed to sleep in at night. as well as meals and other resources.

But, Code Purple tells 47 ABC that to be able to do that, they need your help.

“Volunteers are important because without them, we really can’t run. All we do at Code Purple is volunteer based, we need people to stay overnight with our guests, usually a male and a female,” Josh Davis, a Board Member with Code Purple, said.

If you’re interested in becoming a volunteer or helping in any way, you can always visit Code Purple’s Facebook Page for more information.
