SALISBURY, Md. — The holiday season is here and that means it’s time for the 73rd Annual Salisbury Christmas Parade.

This year Mountaire Farms is presenting the special occasion and will be held on Sunday, December 8th, 2019, at 2 PM. In the case of inclement weather, A rain date has been

So this morning, our very own Erica Murphy was joined on the desk by Kristy Johnson of the Salisbury Jaycees and Zach Evans of Mountaire Farms Inc., to tell us more about the holiday spectacle.

This year’s parade will remain on the same route as in recent years. The parade will start at the intersection of Civic Avenue and Mt Hermon Road and will move west along Mt. Hermon road to East Main Street. It will end at the intersection of  East Main and Ward Street.

Community Relations Manager Civic Avenue from the South End only (near the Civic Center). Parking will be provided in the lot
nearest to Glen Avenue, next to Check-In. You may not park in the Staging Area.

Johnson, Salisbury Jaycees Board Chairman, tells us that, “for more than 70 years, the Salisbury Jaycees have worked to plan and organize the annual Salisbury Christmas parade.”

She also tells us that this year’s theme is A Very Country Christmas. Johnson also mentions that thousands of people from the community are expected to come out. If you get there early you may be able to get a great view.

Zach Evans, Community Relations Manager, didn’t have to say much. He was there representing for Mountaire Farms, who are hosting the event.
