Two suspects arrested in June Ellendale shooting incident, one still at large

ELLENDALE, Del. – Delaware State Police have arrested two people and say one is still wanted in connection to an early June shooting incident in Ellendale.

At around 1 a.m. on June 1st, troopers were called to the Gateway Tavern on DuPont Boulevard for a reported shooting. On arrival, a 38-year-old male victim told police that he had been shot in the lower extremity by an unknown person.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Further investigation allowed police to develop three suspects. 36-year-old Reggie White, 38-year-old Curtis Taylor, and 28-year-old Joshua Wright, all of Delaware, were identified as suspects in the incident.

Taylor turned himself in on September 12th, and was charged with riot – intent to commit facilitate commission of felony or misdemeanor and second degree conspiracy. He was released on $5,000 unsecured bond.

White turned himself into Troop 4 on September 13th and was charged with riot – intent to commit facilitate commission of felony or misdemeanor, second degree conspiracy, and third degree assault. He was later released on $6,000 unsecured bond.

Troopers have not been able to locate Wright, who currently has active warrants out for possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, riot – intent to commit facilitate commission of felony or misdemeanor, second degree conspiracy, and third degree assault. Police say he is known to frequent the Milford and Lincoln areas, and anyone who may have information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Troop 4 at 302-856-5850 or Detective R.
